Our Programmes
Every Ashty programme is personally curated by an ex-MOE teacher with 15 years in the service and a mother of four. She builds every lesson around two things: subject mastery, and the values that make mastery mean something.
Foundation Years
The earliest years shape everything — curiosity, confidence, and a child's belief in themselves as a learner. Before we teach English and Maths, we teach a child what it feels like to try, to be seen, and to be proud of effort over outcome. Every Foundation lesson is an act of discovery — because learning should feel like an adventure, not an obligation.
Middle Years
By this year, children begin to notice where they shine — and where they struggle. This is the critical window where curiosity either deepens or quietly dims. Across English, Maths, and Science, we build both competence and character — listening carefully for the subject where your child's gift is waiting to be named.
Upper Years
The PSLE years carry pressure — but also possibility. We prepare students for the exam with depth and precision. And we make sure they leave knowing something more important than their score: who they are, what they stand for, and what they are genuinely capable of.

Not every child requires tuition. Many students can do well when they develop strong learning habits and receive consistent support at home.
However, tuition can be beneficial when a child needs:

• Structured revision and exam preparation
• Personalised attention beyond what is possible in a classroom setting
• Support in developing effective study habits
At Ashty Education, our goal is not simply to give students more work, but to help them build clarity, confidence and consistency in their learning.
There is no fixed age for starting tuition. Some students begin earlier to build strong foundations,while others only require support when their workload increases in the upper primary years.
For many students, Primary 3 or Primary 4 is when academic demands become more challenging. Subjects become more content-heavy and students are expected to apply concepts more independently.
Starting support earlier allows students to strengthen their foundations and build good study habits before the pressure of PSLE preparation begins.
At Ashty Education, we focus primarily on Primary School students, supporting them through the different stages of their learning journey.
Our programmes typically cover:
• Lower Primary (P1–P2) – Building strong foundations in literacy & numeracy
• Middle Primary (P3–P4) – Strengthening conceptual understanding & application
• Upper Primary (P5–P6) – Developing mastery and preparing for PSLE
Subjects offered may include English, Mathematics & Science, depending on the programme.
Each stage is designed to strengthen key skills progressively so that students are well prepared for the next level.
Lessons at Ashty Education are conducted in small groups of no more than 4 students, allowing each student to receive closer guidance and support.
A typical lesson includes:
• Concept explanation and discussion

• Application questions to develop thinking skills
• Review and reinforcement of key concepts
Students are also encouraged to explain their answers and thought processes, helping them build confidence and deeper understanding.
Each student at Ashty Education will have a personalised individual learning plan that guides their learning throughout the programme.
This plan includes:
• Upcoming school assessments or examination details
• Key topics that will be tested
• Targeted areas for improvement
Based on this plan, lessons are structured to prepare your child accordingly while tracking their progress over time. This ensures that learning remains focused, purposeful and aligned with the student’s academic needs.
Parents play an important role in supporting their child’s learning journey. At Ashty Education,we believe that close partnership and communication between parents and teachers are essential.
We provide weekly learning reports that capture:
• The academic areas covered in class
• Observations on the student’s learning attitude and habits
• Values that are being cultivated during lessons
Parents may also receive recommendations on how they can support their child at home. With consistent encouragement and guidance from both teachers and parents, students are able to grow more confidently in their learning.
The number of lessons depends on your child’s learning needs.
Some students benefit from one focused lesson per week to reinforce what they learn in school.Others may require more support when preparing for major assessments or examinations.
The goal is not to overload the student with too many classes but to ensure that each lesson is purposeful and targeted to help the student improve effectively.
PSLE preparation at Ashty Education is not only about practising exam papers. It is about building strong foundations and learning effective answering strategies over time.
We focus on:

Students learn how to approach questions thoughtfully and strategically rather than relying solely on memorisation.
